Whats the Difference????

The item number seen at the second link is for HP/Compaq systems which generally would be seen with value ram while custom builders will go after the HyperX performance memory for OCing and faster timings. Item #: N82E16820134202 = HP/Compaq; Item #: N82E16820141474 = ValueRam

The difference in the numbers there is primary for memory recommended for HP/Compaq systems while still being the value memory only under a different inventory number. If you are running an HP/Compaq you still can use the ValueRam since it is basically the same thing. I run 2gb of Kingston DDR400 ValueRam here with good results for the stock usage here. Unfortunately the better price seen on the first link is lost due to being out of stock! Fortunately mwave carries the identical memory for about $1.50 more seen at http://www.mwave.com/mwave/viewspec.hmx?scriteria=BA20340
 
thanks alot for the help...looks like im going with the valueram since im on a budget and its almost the same thing....lol i mean people use generic drugs and we're still alive so...lol sry corny i know
 
I game as well as run multimedia apps and video capture devices where the cpu sees a heavy load as well as the 2gb here without problems for the most part. Kingston is one of the older but better brands to go with along with Corsair's value ram, Crucial, Mushkin, and the usually higher priced OCZ premium brand memory. For OCing and high end gaming that's where you start looking into the higher end(price too) memory for the performance.
