What's the difference?

Odd, the 3 GHz one is cheaper (bout half as much) as the 2.8GHz. @ newegg they have prices that match the processor. I'd check out the reviews at tigerdirect. If the 3 ghz looks as good as the 2.8, I'd get the 3 for sure. There may be something different about the 3 tho.

I was thinking that the 3 GHz one was much cheaper because they had a lot more of them in stock???

I would get an E2140 or an E4500...
I wish I could, but I would have to get another mobo to handle the new "Core" base processors or at least that's what the ECS website told me...

just get a cheap C2D mobo if you dont have the cash ;)

Sometimes, companies can get a processor for a cheaper price than others. Although I would go with 3.0ghz. I would not go with a Pentium D because I heard they got bad reviews and get hot under full load, (I play CS:S alot so I'm under full load sometimes)

The description says it all, the Pentium D 920 is low on stock. They probably got the 920's back before the Core 2 Duo's were out when $120 was average price, so now they're trying to get rid of them and they dont want to lose money. However the 925 is a newer processor, and they got them for much less money.

@ComputerGuru, it was mainly the Pentium D 8xx that had heat problems, the 9xx uses a 65nm process so it doesnt get quite as hot.
