Hi All..

As title says, whats the best 120mm fan in regards to the amount of air flow? I would like to replace the fan in my Coolermaster V8 with the most airflow fan possible.. Dont really care about noise just pure power....

Also do you guys know if you can mount extra fans to this HSF?? Or if anyones done it before.. So I could copy thier design..

Cheers

If you want to look for the best, just go on NewEgg and go to Heatsinks + Fans --> Fans --> 120mm --> and look for expensive or best airflow

Zip tie the fans to what? And why remove the fan in the middle... Idealy Id want three fans if possible.

Here's an idea: Buy a 120mm fan, and join it on to your heatsink with cable ties or superglue or something. two fans = better cooling. make sure they are both intake though. Or you could just mount/glue it to the inside of your case somewhere.

What I think ill do... It get three of the most powerful fans there are that are 120x120x25... Ill then replace the stock middle fan and put two on either side.

Just need to know what the best fan is so I can order.

They are 38mm I can only fit 25mm in the middle.

I found a Delta fan on newegg, that was 150cfm... but cant find it here in NZ.

I have three of these on my radiator.

45dba @ 133 CFM

You want to talk about LOUD. I had to hook all three up to a fan controller, and they're all set on low. And still move tons of air. (thanks omega!)

I have 6 of those in my case...they are great:D I have to do the same thing, all attached to a Zalman fan controller and turned all the way down...still moves a nice amount of air.

Why don't you just get a new Coolermaster R series fan? They are 90 CFM and come in pretty colors. They also have a 3 pin power cable that will hook directly into the motherboard. Crank that thing up and it will cool nice:D

For 120mmx25mm(whatever it is, the thinner ones) the scythe slipstreams are supposed to be pretty good. Something like 110cfm.

I like the look of Slipstream, and I can get them pretty cheap here in NZ... Cheers, now ive got to get a bracket made up to mount the two extra fans.

Ok... lol now Im looking for the best airflow 120mm fans (can be any width so 38mm is fine) that have LED's lol.

The Ultra Kaze's would be good if they only had color lol.
