built my new rig, and i play games for certain amount of time can be diffeent amount each time and the game just exits to dekstop no error messages nothing i have vpu recover turned on and send error message turned on but i get nothing. its happaned in DOOM 3 and NEed for speed underground and a few other games well any game ive tried

tried a different driver version?
also, what is the temperature of the grafic's card? ( it could be that as soon as the slowdown temperature is reached, the drivers usually slow the card down,.. but it could be that the drivers are going unstable then :o Like said.. could be, I'm not sure since i never used a Ati card lately tough )

Download ATitool.

With ATitool, you will also be able to overclock your card, and change the Fan settings (Constant speed, Keep Temperature under certain temps, or put it on a gradient (ie, at 50C make the fan be at 40%, etc.)).

yes i got this program i see the temp monitering section but cant figure out how to actually get the current temp on screen

On screen? If you minimize the program (not actually close it) it will shrink to your taskbar and display the temperature there.

EDIT: It's under Settings>Temperature monitoring

ok cool great thanks for that it currently stands at 43, whats the average temp for it to go to for say a game like DOOM 3?

It depends on many factors, such as the temperature in your room, the temperature in your case, etc. Prolly around 80C, depending on the fan setting

tried speedfan already, crashed my comp everytime i double click it, so re downlaoded and reinstalled it and does the same so ill have to check the cpu temp in bios

ok ran DOOM 3 for say 20 mins b4 it caused an error and my temp readings are as follows just after crash

Cpu Core Temp : 38
GPU temp: 63

well... definately not a temperature issue then.. :)

just a question.. how long the pc has been doing that now? ( and have you tried a different driver version already? )

since i bought the parts and installed them, i tried all different display drivers etc, im starting to thing its a motherboard issue and may get a replacement for a different make but im still gonna do a bit more troubleshooting, i have just updated my bios at the following link do you think one of them listed fixes could have been the problem also i have only had this error once during gameplay also the blue screen showing memory dump thing.

also just found this review on ebuyer from someone:

"i bought this board for a new build gaming machine. the games would crash alot and it made my pc usless the problem was i needed to increase the ldt bus to 1.3v ldt bus is the voltage for the hypertransport and switch the ram to 2-4 slot instead of 1-3 slot if you have 2gig ram. this was with x1900xt 4200x2 amd also it likes to turn itself on somtimes when i shutdown normaly about 10 seconds after! always when u get in to bed it turns on lol but dont bother me apart from the above great board very easy overclock."

maybe thats my problem
