I understand that Phenom and the new AMD range will be on an AM2+ socket. The socket itself is the same basically as AM2 (same pins etc) but just has slightly different capabilities. Thus the phenom processors will be backwadrs compatible as such and work in an AM2 socket.
So what will the differences be. If i was to run one of these newer processors (upon release) in my AM2 board then. What difference would i see in comparison to the same processor being run on an AM2+ board?
Also anyone got any idea of what sort of performance increase these processors will be offering, any comparison charts or anything yet against the higher end AM2 processors?
