Whats this Go Stepping?

If your going to be overclocking I'd get the G0 stepping Q6600. Intel changed the chip slighty and added SLACR to the end of the product name. With the change, the SLACR Q6600's overlock very very well.
 
Ok, I am planning to Overclock it sometime so guess I will go for that one best get searching E-Bay for it.

Im a student building my first PC so not made of money thats whyI am being so cautious over every small detail :P.

B3 = 105w TDP
G0 = 95w TDP.

Meaning, less power consumption, less heat output, better overclocks on average.

Definitely go with the G0.
 
Yeah go with the G0, there are a few websites that guarantee the G0 stepping. But Newegg for example has both G0 and B3 stepping Q6600's so you don't know what your going to get. But your in the UK and that site gives you a choice.
 
I went with G0 stepping sites out here charged a small premium I only paid about £3 more so im happy. Im just waiting for all my parts to arrive (processor and ram dipatched on 14th Sept :( ) damn ebuyer.
