What's up in the PC world?/ New Gaming PC.

But, Asus is picky with RAM, and the RAM they choose are usually expensive and rather not that good

MSI only? What about Abit? Gigabyte? Biostar? XFX? Foxconn?

It has been my experience as well that Asus boards are VERY picky about Ram. You have to manually set the timings and voltages on their boards if the ram is not called out in the list of recommended Ram. Since I am used to doing it, it's not that bad for me. But to a newb, it could be the difference between having it boot, and spending days figuring out why it won't. With a few RMA's during the process.

Asus boards are not for Newbs!

What mobo would you guys recommend?

I can recommend a motherboard not to get. I am currently using a Foxconn in my system. It works but doesn't run well and is picky with Random Access Memory. My first Foxconn motherboard got fried within 45 days of use (I didn't do any overclocking or anything to it). This is definately my last Foxconn motherboard as I am not impressed with the quality.

haha, I'll take your word for it. ;)

I think just about anything by Gigabyte would be good.

Ok, I'll have a look at those. Any reviews or anything you can lead me too? Or perhaps suggest a model for a Intel Q6600?
