whats wrong?

Most of the time when I play videos on any website, the video skips and it sounds terrible. So, I tried restarting the computer and the video plays fine. Unfortunately, this does not work all the time and, with my crappy computer, is time consuming. This also effects the speed of websites when they load. Is there a way to fix this?????
