Hey my mates 17" LG LCD moniter is on the fritz, heres the problem.
yesturday I was checking what his motherboard and RAM were so I had to open up his PC and have a peek but the only time I touched the moniter connection was to unplug it and I didnt touch the videocard at all.
So today we turn it on and the computer boots up fine but the screen flashes a message saying 'Power Saving Mode' for about 1 second then the the screen turns off but the power light stays on. Now I've tried the connections at the back and they look decent then I trying un plugging and replugging at the wallto no avail so I'm out of ideas.
Anyone got and suggestions.

have you tried moving the mouse or pressing a key on the keyboard? also make sure the monitor cable is plugged in tightly.

Have you tried another monitor? Just to see if the computer is configured to go into safe mode or if it's a safety option within the monitor itself.

Open the case and push down on the video card, not real hard Ha!. Make sure the screw is tight. Boot up and try it again

Yes I tried an old CRT that he used to use and it wouldnt work (the moniter isnt stuffed it does work usually) so tomorrow I'll double check his video card thnx
