What's your best defence against ads?

I've been getting freakin' tired of all these ads most sites have, so I began to look into methods of blocking them though firefox. I found a VERY nice usercontent.css file that so far seems to block most everything quite well.

This was derived from another .css file I was trying, but this one seems to do a bit better.

i dont have that many pop ups at all, infact firefox defaults block all of them, even ones i do want, but then i just click on the orange tab and select DISPLAY. or do you mean actual ad's like sidebar ads and stuff. like theres always one for that bloody adultfriendfinder.com. yeh, they are annoying.

Hehe, I went there and got no pop-ups... As I said, I changed something but I can't remember exactly right off. I'll try and find the guide again later...

What I posted I don't beleive blocks popups, but just images sizes that are generally ads, scripts for banners, and a few other things like that. Perhaps some popups would be included there... Though, with one of the previous .css's I tried, I'd get some blank popups :-/

I added that, then removed it. It seems to work just like this... However, with this little addition, I can easlly mod it and just transfer the file to all my computers.
