AMD by far... Ever since the beginning of the Athlon series they produced killer processors! However, for mobile, I think I prefer Intel, or maybe Transmeta(at least from reviews...)

As for the model, I've used an Athlon 64 3700 and 4000, and both where great. I can't compare to other AMD processors, but I definetly like the plain Athlon 64 series.
