should I
get a mobo with sli and 667 mhz mem speed, or one with 800 mhz and no sli.
3.0 ghz pentium 4, or 2.8 ghz pentum d, i cant afford core 2 duo.
Is a 7600 good enough to run the newest games at high settings. Whats the best version of 7600 video card for gaming.

You do not need 800MHz ram, but you don't need a sli motherboard either. Get a non sli board that supports 667MHz ram, and save yourself a little money, 7600gts are good cards, look for like a evga, xfx or bfg, they are all good companies.

I would go with the faster memory and the Pentium D, the 7600 should be sufficient for the time being but don't expect any longevity from that card, however it is enough for quality graphics in games on the shelf as of now.

I like this one...

At that price, you're getting close to a 7900GS.

7600GTs are good card for their price (the BFG model is particularly well priced).

What's your budget? Have you considered an AMD build. It sounds like it would suit you better.
