When do you think ATi will release their new cards???

hey guys

Seeing as nVidia has released their GTX295 and the GTX285, i expect ATi to retaliate soon, with a release of their own.

So when do you think ATi will release their new cards? cause they cant allow nVidia to have their new cards on the market for too long, or ATi will lose out on some market share.

What do you guys think?
 
There are HD49xx cards supposed to be coming out H1 this year, based on the RV790 (beefed-up 770) and some new mainstream cards that perform somewhere between 4830 and 4850 at a much lower price, based on the RV740. ATM these are just rumors AFAIK.
 
I havent heard of any release dates, but there are speculations on features.
Its going to use a type of cooling ATI have never used before. The GPU will be 40NM and have DX11. but these could just assumptions, because logically there the next move. Anyways take a read of this, like a said its all rumour, not fact.
ATI HD5870?
 
Some say Q1, some H1, some Q3...

Thats why im confuzzled....

I dont think its gonna be too late, or nVidia will take market share...
 
Honestly, super high-end doesn't really attract most of the market. Cards like the 4850 do because they're more affordable and mainstream. The top video card is always going to change hands back and forth, but I don't think ATI has anything to worry about as long as they reduce their prices accordingly. That being said, ATI will retake the crown, but no one knows when. It's all guessing at this point.
 
what makes this worse is that i was planning on getting a 4870.

Now nVidia released their cards, and they give GREAT performance. Now im waiting on ATi to release their cards, as i dont want to buy a 4870, then it gets outdated in 2 months...

Id rather buy whats best at the time (by best i mean high end, not super high end (X2 etc))
