And that's most likely, sure. But I have personally chatted (debated?) with some members here who have lost their chip to Overclocking.

Don't get me wrong I love OCing. And for the experiencied peoples like me (:D), and you it's almost impossible for something to go wrong, But we can't just go around telling everyone to OC. Most everyone are noobs with this.
 
If you do it slowly (carefully) you'll get a very good result without breaking anything touchwood. I'd go for it ONLY if you feel 100% confident.
