When i open a link in a new window....

When i open a link in a new window it freezes that window heres a screen shot of what i mean...

Is there any way of fisxing this cos it's REALLY annoying

It happens to all of the links, or just some specific links?
Anyway, check your system for spywares.

Hey!

I use spybot search and destroy and that didn't fix it

One other thing ive noticed is that i can't play some videos, i think its mpeg-2 but i'm not sure about that!

There could be both spyware problem, but most likely it is a bug in Internet explorer. Which version is it? Maybe if you upgrade to newer version, this problem dissappear?
If that does not help, there is an easy way (but silly ) - use another browser, Opera or Firefox for example

Well heres the problem..I have the SP2 pack so i can't install (or reinstall) IE

You don't have to uninstall Internet Explorer...leave it there and either update it to the latest version or download another browser, my personal favorite is Firefox found at
http://www.mozilla.org

Try cleaning the IE's cache, cookies and history.
