When i upgrade from vista to windows 7?

I have a pc on order being delivered with vista as the os when i get the free upgrade to windows 7 which i think is sent out on a dvd will i need to do anything else to my pc in terms of drivers etc so everything functions properly

Probably not. The upgrade should just replace the OS and keep all your files
and programs in tact.

It will just upgrade the os all your files will still be there.
You may have to update a driver or two but thats all.
