When i ask when AM3 is comming out it is because when i biuld my computer i want to know who to go for? AMD or Intel and dont say intel cause of C2D because once Am3 comes out, AM3 wont just kick C2D ass it would Wipe it too.. :)

Core 2 Duo!!! haha

AM3 is a socket, it's not a processor. So saying that AM3 will kick the C2D isn't true, because im sure they will have lower model AM3's as well, like the Sempron.

I know AMD is working on a true quad core that will beat the current Intel CPU's, but im not sure what socket that will be. Intel is also working on quad-core processors that will kill the current ones.

dude when i said AM3 would kick C2D i ment the proccessor that go with that socket i am not a complete retard. It takes a retard to not know what i ment... Hence if i said the NEW soccket LGA775 would own the X2 series. That means the core 2 duo would be X2... so dont laugh at me :(

truth is processors are always gonna change top of the line today will be midline tomorrow so i just gave up on trying to buy the best possible thing i buy what can handle my current tasks and that satisfies me.

I seriously doubt that Omega is a retard...so lets not make any illogical assumptions. Likewise, lets not assume that the AM3 is going to mop the floor with anything until we try it ourselves. Granted, I don't doubt its potential, but as I said, the saying "don't knock it 'till you try it" applies to the cliches inverse as well.
As far as your question goes, when you begin to buy components for your build, you'll just have to see whats on the market and make that coincide with your budget. AMD's quad-technology coming soon is supposed to be quite impressive, but I'm sure Intel is coming up with a formidable product as well.

Um, no. If you said socket LGA775 would own the X2 series, i'd say you are an utter f***ing retard.

Thats true, but I think there are times when you should buy top of the line products, and thats when they are first released.

Back in November of last year, I bought an E6300 (oc'd to 3.2Ghz), eVGA 680i, and an 8800GTS.

Now those were all new, and the video card and chipset were brand new. If I had kept that, it would still be considered top of the line since I bought it at a point where nothing new was coming out for a while.

Now if I bought that now, then in a month there will be better parts out.
