Curious on how long does a laptop last for?

I have the same laptop since 2008 (yes very old lol) that was recommended by members on here. Thing ran great for awhile, but is it slow yes, otherwise far as the speed it's seems pretty good besides outdated.

So is it worth to try and upgrade it or swap?

That I am trying figure out. I am starting to wonder if I want to build a desktop so I can use it for games to whatever, but I'm not 100%.

$679 and powerful at that. Costs $200 less than what I paid for my laptop just a year ago!
