When to Cool?

At what point do you buy a memory cooler for your computer? I see it in some build videos, but very rarely.

i would say, when you start getting random shutdowns and/or memory errors. most of the good memory brands will come with a heatspreader, as long as you have good ventilation in your case, you should be ok. also, if you plan to overclock your memory, that would make it run hotter, so you will definitely need some extra cooling.

Tbh they arent even necessary on ddr3...
