When you have dual monitors... does each one have to be at the same resoloution or can they be different? I.e. If I run a 20" and a 15"??? Does it depend on what graphics card I have?
With nVidia graphics they can be different resolutions. I used to think ATi multidisplays were pretty much the same as nVidias but recently I have been shown to be wrong on some of those assumptions. I would suspect they can be different resolutions but I would check.
normally all good graphic cards supports 2 (Matrox does 3) at one time, with independent controls for the monitor (refresh rate. resolution, color depth etc), but most stable driver is of nVidia's (currently knows as Forceware, previously knows as Detonators).
It's not so much "like" or "dislike" but rather, some people are looking for specific features when using multiple displays and are finding those features arent available with ATI's driverset (i.e., stretched start-bar)
buy dislike i mean they just want to run on the same options as the other computer so yeah its not like/dislike like u said its just they want to run on the same options as the other
yes, you can run a monitor at any resolution you want, at least with my 9800 I can, i run one monitor 800*600 and the other 1024*768. Not sure if that's wat ur asking
