apj101 VIP Member Sep 26, 2007 #6 if your getting a decent fan cooler then they normally do a good job of cooling all the surrounding area. personally im not a fan of those faffy little heatsinks, im sure most people dont put them on very well and end up making the cooling worse.

StrangleHold Moderator Staff member Sep 26, 2007 #7 Alot of people dont put them on right, not using the right adhesive. I have found them laying in the bottom of cases were they fell off.
