Yea laright i guess i will go ahead and do it, im a bit hesitant because the last time i tried to install it i had to reformat it. Like a very wise man once said, "to hell with it" ill just go ahead and do it, i will post on how it goes.

Alright, i can do everything up to "configure system". Then i get extremely confused, i just left everything the way it was. Also when i go to create boat loader it says something like "make sure menu.lst to make sure it is correct. Select "system configuration /boot/grub/menu1st. I dont know what to do here, please help thanks

nvm i fixed it that problem, new porblem is how do i create a username and password. The manual that u showed me tels me how to create a username but, i have no idea what they are talking about. if you could help me that would be nice. Thanks

....i have this strange feeling that your arent ready for linux....
useradd -m -s /bin/bash "your username"
# passwd "your password"
and i think knoppix, or a ubuntu live cd would be a better choice to start out.

Ok, thanks, now when i log into my username it says [Person3@myhost ~]$. What would i do now?
