Where do i plug these in?

Hi. I can't find where to plug in all the connections to make the LED's for HDD and Power, and things like system speaker. I know where they go on the mobo but its difficult to find the right spot. are the plugs colour coded or something?

Yes, they should be names on the mobo labeling which pins go in which, and it should be pretty easy cause almost all the connectors have different amounts of pins.

I figured it out. they are color coded, however the reset switch cable was blue, not yellow. I guess it varies from company. I have yet to test it buy everything looks fine. I also hooked up the front usb ports.

nice, nice, i just installed my new psu, and i also had to do this, lol it took me 15minutes to find out which ones went where.

Yeah, there isn't really an industry standard for positioning and labeling of those connectors. Sometimes they aren't labeled at all, but there is always a diagram in the mobo's manual showing you what goes where.

they should make some sort of standard, at least colour coding on plugs and cables? well at least they all plugged into where it says F_PANEL on my mobo.
the cables in my case where the same colours as where they plug in on the mobo, except for the reset button. it was blue instead of green. however that case originally housed my old AMD athlon xp 1800+ (lol, socket 462). you should have seen the dust on that amd heatsink. it was scary to say the least.

Are you referring to LED's for drive activity and power. If so - there's a place on your MOBO dedicated to front panel. Check your MOBO manual for specifics on wiring. It's pretty simple if you read the manuals - and look at each plug as to where location goes

for HDD and Power

HDD connects to your MOBO by either an IDE or SATA cable. Your manual will direct you where to attach them to your MOBO. Then run a molex cable from your PSU to your drive.

Molex Plug from your PSU

Check your MOBO manual for any questions as to location on your MOBO.

Not sure about speaker system - mine was integrated into my MOBO.
