where is the missing symbol?

where is there a symbol that is a straight vertical line (just like the l in like, but slightly lower in the line)

I see it in the URL when I am on a page, but I cannot type it in to find the same page later because there is no such symbol on the keyboard

where's it hiding?

its usually near the z keys, and you may hve to press shirt to get it, It may also be near the tab key
