wherever u want to monitor the temp, u can put it on ur cpu, ur video card, ur hard drive, or just let it hang and give u the general temp, its all about wat u want.

ok cool i got it attatched to the cpu heatsink, just wanted to make sure that was ok. the orange is exhaust and the black on the bottom is intake, this is the best way to run it right?

that sounds ok to me, its sometimes better to ave more fans extracting than drawing inwards, this is to create negative case pressure, it helps with cooling.

Hey

Yup, I generally agree with what was said. Having it in the hottest area (CPU HSF) means that it runs at full RPMs which is the best scenario in terms of efficiency but could mean more noise. Having it loose could mean that it would not cool to its full potential. I prefer having my fans run at full RPMs.

this case i am using is a medion case, from when i bought the whole system like 3 years ago, so it sucks for airflow. since i put the 2nd hard drive in it was getting hot, so i decided to just put more fans in for now. there isnt really any other vented places to put more. i am planning on getting a new case, prob an ll warrior and doing some serious mods.
