Thats my system,I dont have any holes in the side of my case so unless i cut a hole myself to add it?
But realy i dont want to do that,The thing i would like to reduce is my cpu temp so whats the best point to put the fan?

cheers :)

The side panel is just about the only place you could possibly put it as the vertical hard drive in the front eliminates any possibilities of mounting it there. The top also seems a bit too complicated to do as it's not flat and probably has a plastic layer on top of it.

hi,

the vertical hard drive is gone!

i have mounted it underneath my floppy drive,However im thinking of putting it back at the front because as my hard drive does alot of activity it vibrates more in my case where it is now:mad:

Id say the best bet would to cut a hole in the side panel so an intake fan will blow directly onto the heatsink fan. Grab yourself a holesaw or jigsaw or dremel and your good to go

I think i might just buy a new case.

but im scared my mobo will not fit...how would i know?
do all new cases fit any mobo with diffrent hole cutouts?

ok. but i think it would be not that upgradable because it would be like a dell right? certain stuff wouldnt fit?

I think stuff will fit, I'll take a look for you tomorrow if you want, I'm about to get some sleep now :P

A new case could be perfect, look great and improve your temps! ;)

tks dan your a champ,

im so fed up with my pc atm....seriusly i felt like chucking it out the window today

Lmao. :D

I think your board is just a standard m-ATX, i think it'll fit in any case mate. ;)

Yeah i know,Its a small mobo but im worried that the holes cut for the screws on the mobo wouldnt line up with a new case.

dont forget this board is socket A lol OLD!

I think Liams right, Shane... The screws all tend to be Ok... They have more than you actually need on a case, so that most boards can go on ;)

It will fit in a standard ATX case but the problems you might have is that HP/Dell/Sony and so on have there own weird little way they use the case Power switch/ reset/ Power LCD and Harddrive LCD layout pins on the boards. Most of there cases had a single connector that just pluged in and there are no marking on the board to show what is what. Second your back panel plugins probably wont line up with the the I/O shield on the new case and chances are the one on your case now wont fit the new one. Just a couple of thing to think about before you start.
