Where you buy your computer parts

whats in your newest build?

its either going to be a heatkiller, or aquacomputer waterblock for the cpu, nb+sb+mosfets on an evga x58, then i'm gunna be buying two unique power supply units(even stock units are impossible to track down) which are going to be watercooled, then two ek 285 blocks, then a 120.2, and two 120.3's and 3 ddc 3.2's, all in a lian li 343b(getting the funding for all this is another story lol)

very nice!
im building something right now in a Lian li case with dual 1600W PSUs. Its a big case, and I modded the case to fit 2 ATX motherboards, and am building an internal SATA KVM- essentially, two computer in one, if i can pull it off

Newegg.com, zipzoomfly.com, Monoprice.com (best price for cables), Royaldiscount.com (for things like surge protectors) though they are distributers of many products.

Used to be exclusively Newegg.....

... but my last experiences with Customer Service (which has been great before) has been way below par. Worse, unapologetic about it. Really hope it turns around.

Zipzoomfly, microcenter, tigerdirect, and amazon.

newegg

zipzoomfly

ebay (yes, in some cases ebay)

internet forums for used, sometimes new products

tigerdirect

amazon

This is all US BTW.

cool, i dont buy PARTS from amazon, but i buy devices from them :)

I don't typically but parts from them either. Bought a CF card once. Sometimes they have good deals on PC hardware, so that's why I mentioned them.

yeah, you're so right- another thing i like about amazon is that they have a lot of things available for pre-order

90% of my hardware purchases are at newegg. Bar none they're the best. You can sometimes find really good deals elsewhere, but that's usually where I buy when I upgrade.

Yeah, they're great, I get all my hardware (thats not already built) at Newegg and TigerDirect, amazing combo- between the two of them i can find nearly any part i need.

Newegg! ;)

I also purchase 90-95% of my equipment from them. They're not always the cheapest in all areas, but when you buy bulk, the average savings outweigh the per item costs. I cannot complain about delivery either as it is usually free and fast! Newegg ran out of the Zalman coolers I needed so I ordered them from another big name. Two weeks later...they're finally to be delivered today. Finally...I'll be able to put those quads together!
