Hey guys,
I'm having a very serious problem with my Acer 290 Laptop. Firstly a few days ago I was mucking around with LogonUI Boot Randomizer, it asked me something about paths (I cant remember), I then turned off NoGUIboot so I could see it. Then after I selected a boot screen and went to restart. Boom, I'm confronted with this message;
PXE-E61 Media Test failure, check cables
It then proceeded to boot from my NIC.
Naturally I didnt know what was going on, I've tried all of the tools on the Windows XP CD but they cant even detect my hard drive or a windows installation, I accessed the BIOS and it says it cant even detect a HDD. I've taken the HDD out and found no problems. But the strange thing is that when it boots the little Hard drive/processor LCD lights up. I'm a senior in high school and I've got important stuff on that laptop, can anyone give me a hand?
