Which 8800 GTX is best?

I am looking at buying a GeForceGTX 8800. However looking there are many different brands of this. Now this is the first time Im buying a Geforce card, normally I get ATI.

Anyway they all look simular to me except the price.

768MB Zotac 8800GTX

768MB Inno3D GeForce 8800GTX (one I was thinking of buying)

768MB XFX GeForce 8800GTX

768MB Inno3D GeForce 8800GTX Ultra

768MB XFX GeForce 8800GTX XXX Edition

I dont know about over there in the UK, but I have never heard of Inno3D. Personally I would go with XFX.

Nvidia doesnt make video cards, the only thing on them that is nvidia is the GPU, other than that the different manufacture use different brand transistors and memory chips. So there can be quite a bit of difference in performance and overclockability

I'd say EVGA if they've got it in the UK but otherwise XFX will do.

It's true that the difference between brands can vary, but there tends to be a large price difference for such a small increase in reliability. IMO i wouldn't go for the cheapest unless they are a good brand but there is no way in hell i would would spend an extra $50-100 on just the name, unless of course it was Evga, and I had plans of upgrading in the future.

the XXX edition is a OVERCLOCKED 8800gtx just in case you think it has naked girls in it or something...

are you trying to put it in your motherboard? it will not work because you're using AGP that those are all PCIE X16.

Maybe some used 1.4ns GDDR3,some used 1.0ns GDDR3.
Why not buy a HD2900XT card?

No Im buying a whole new pc, I will most likely get a P5N32-E SLI nForce 680i SLI board from either Asus or XFX
