On CPU Benchmark the laptop from the source is slightly higher grade than the laptop from futureshop. But thesource laptop has less ram and 1mb less cache L3. Is it still worth it to get the laptop from thesource because of slightly better processor grade and 128GB dedicated video memory? I am unsure if it is better to have more ram or 128GB dedicated memory/slightly better cpu processor, but not sure if i need the extra cache as i am not sure what that does for me. The laptop from the source has dedicated video memory/ the futureshop laptop does not. I hope you understand the above, and please help me out and explain, thanks. I just want laptop for steaming videos/youtube/age of empires 2, not demanding games. And utimately i just want the laptop that meats those needs best between the two, thanks.

I wouldn't get any Acer to be honest with you. Look into another brand like Asus, Dell, or Toshiba.

I would go for the acer from futureshop, it is cheaper, has a better cpu, has more memory and a bigger hard drive.

Would be crazy to pay more money for a lower spec machine.

I recommend buying one of these, because i have used one of this before.

Anymore, Acer laptops are a good buy. They are generally cheaper and offer good price/performance as well as reliability. It's easy to recommend a more expensive/reputable brand out of hand, but unfortunately our society revolves around money, and Acers are a good choice if you're on a budget.

I have a feeling your comment is based off the Acer name/reputation from years ago.

what!

i think there the worst

Well i can only say i had an acer aspire 17in for two years, and it was a great laptop for it`s price.

Wasn`t prone to lots of heat build up, never gave me any problems, and for it`s price performance was perfectly acceptable, only struggled with the high power tasks like dvd encoding and games, i never wanted it to do that kind of work that`s what my desktops for.
