Which Affects Performance Most?

Okay, so I'm having trouble deciding, and I wanted you guys's input.

Which affects performance in the hard drive most?

one has a 16MB Cache and has SATA 6.0Gb/s,

and one has a 32MB Cache and has SATA 3.0Gb/s

The lower one is 750GB and the top is 500GB, but will the performance be much better in one occasion?

I would say the W/D even with 32mb cache overall would be slightly slower then the Seagate with 16mb cache. The W/D is one of those variable 5400/7200 speed drives. Plus I would not buy a refurbished drive.

Yeah, the fact that it's refurbished kinda turned me away from it too, but for the fact that the 1 year extended warranty is only 2 dollars and it's 250GB more for 5 dollars less kinda make me wanna go for it, what I'm saying is is there a large enough difference in performance for me to want to drop from 750GB to 500GB, or is it not that big of a difference.

I really did not notice a difference between my 64mb cache drive I have now and my IDE, at least for storage. For an OS, there might be a difference. But I would definitely not get a refurbished drive, like Strangle said.

I can't tell the difference between 16MB cache, 32MB cache or 64MB cache, and SATA 3 (or SATA 6.0 as you refer to it as) is only worthwhile getting if you have a SATA 3 motherboard. I'd just go for the cheaper drive or the one that has the faster spindle speed, and don't buy refurbished hard drives, buy new.
