which antivirus?

Half price norton antivirus 2009 for £19.49?
Should i buy norton antivirus 2009 or just get avast for 3 has anyone compared the pair of them?

If you want Norton, I suggest you Norton Internet Security, donàt buy Norton Antivirus alone.

Avast is good, but compared to NOD32 is worst.

Of course it's my opinion. I worked in the antivirus world for years....
 
IMHO ESET NOD32 Antivirus 4 is the best choice at the moment. It uses award-winning virus detection engine, self-defense module and it won't slow down your computer.

When chosing an antivius we don't have to look just at the features and at the resources used.

It is EXTREMELY important for an antivirus to be well spread in the world!! THe antivirus must be popular!! WHY?

Because the signatures for the viruses are built upon Customer's infections and their submissions to their Security Responses.

If the antivirus company don't receive the virus or infected file, they cannot build the definitions...

If you chose companies like McAfee, ESET and Symantec you are much probable to have the antivirus updated for the more recent viruses, but if you use the super antivirus "hhiuuus" few people in the world are using it, so the company makind its signatures is not aware about the new virus and it doesn't detect it!
 
Nod32 is better than both of them but if you want to buy a good antivirus wait till Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 comes out. It's the best antivirus+internet security in my opinion.
