Thanks for your help in advance!

<head explodes>

Wow...that's a lot of options...

Honestly, I wouldn't go quad-core, though. And the Cd2 i would choose wouldn't be the one you had...hence the no vote.

Sorry was in a hurry so had two #7 in there, so now you have 12 options instead of 11 :p

Post your build if you think you have a better configuration.
Thanks!

I picked #5 just because I hate seagate Hard drives. And I would change the GPU to a EVGA model.

Have you had bad experience with seagate? I've always used Western Digital or Maxtor and they both seem to die way earlier than their warranty periods.

If it's the same Video Card does it really matter which GPU I choose? If so what would you recommend after EVGA? Asus, XFX, Galaxy, PNY etc?

lovely?

imsati, you wouldnt recommend quad cores? lol the (arguably) most important part of a powerful computer is the proc, quad cores are the way to go

EVGA has the best warrantys around, so it's safer to go with them.

I have used maxtor's, seagates and WD hard drives. My favorites have been the WD's. I still have a WD drive from 1997 that still works great. I use it for backing up small files. It's only a 1.2 gig.

I am also still using WD 80 gig drives from years ago. I have never had a failure on a WD drive.

Maxtor's are absolute crap. Every Maxtor I have used has failed.

Seagates have failed on me once. And since I have never had a WD fail, I stick with them.

The 2nd one has G0 stepping which is apparently better if you want to overclock.
The 8800GT should be enough for what you intend to do with it... but just in case, remind us what games you plan to play ?

Okie well how do you figure which version of the q6600 your buying because I have yet to see "SL9UM" or "SLACR" in the description/detail on any of the Canadian websites.

I'm planning to play UT3, crysis and other latest games.
