Which cable do I need?

Hey,

I'm going to be using my TV as my monitor for my PC as I can't afford a proper monitor yet. I was wondering whether I could hook my computer up with an HDMI to my TV or whether I'd have to use the cable like this: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/130553 with the spinny things on each side.

If your tv has an hdmi input then its just a matter of hooking up an hdmi cable from video card to tv. You will have to use your pc speakers though for audio because you won't get sound through the video card unless you have a cable from sound card to video card.

shouldn't that card be able to pass audio through it via the hdmi port?

Only if you have an audio cable from the sound port on a sound card or onboard audio if i believe. We had a long discussion about this a few months ago.

Does your TV have an HDMI port? What kind of TV is it?
