Which cable?

I would like to replace the cable running from my MOBO to my Harddrive

its the big thick cable, i think tis and IDE cable, im not sure though
thats the part im not sure about is the name of it.



right now i've got one with 3 plugs, and i only want to use 2 plugs
since i dont run a 2nd HD or whatever is supposed to be on the 3rd plug



ahh..
and while im at it
Whats the cable called that runs from the MOBO to your CD rom?

They are both IDE cables. Just so you know replacing it wont make any difference whatsoever, however if you want to tidy up your system a bit then thats fair enough.

Then it is IDE. You can get them at any computer parts store.
Your CD cable should be exactly the same.

if you look on Tiger or Newegg, you can get rounded ones to make things neater.
