Which camera is better

I need to take some pictures of myself of decent quality and I have two options camera-wise:

    1. Samsung Galaxy S2

    2. Olympus X-790

Right now the Olympus is out of commission so I can't take pictures to see what comes out better, it has an empty battery and no charger so I'm wondering whether it would give better pictures to know whether I should pony up for the charger.

I don't know jack about cameras, the phone camera says it's 8 megapixel and the camera camera says 7.1, but I've no idea what that means and I'm sure there are other considerations.

Are those seriously the best cameras you have at your disposal? Both are ancient. The S2 is 6+ years old, which for a phone is pre-historic. The Olympus says it requires a Pentium III to run and Windows 2000. If those are the two best options you have, I'd say the Olympus since it's an actual camera vs phone.

tbh you could just roll the cost into something newer/better/not-ancient.
