Oh Sweet! Scout you have saved me again!

9500 Looks like a good card, and its only $80! Just what I am looking for! I am grateful you have found this!

But I read a comment on the 'Reviews' that someone said
Easy, problem-free install. No problem with drivers, although I didn't install all of the extra programs that came with it. Price was excellent. Would buy again for a mid level non-gaming upper end machine.

I think you'll be much better off with the 9500GT than the other one. Just want to bring to your attention...I guess I see about what your budget is...for only like $20 or $30 more you can get soo much more for a graphics card. You might want to wait a few more weeks and see what kind of sales are coming and maybe get a little more money together. In the long run...a few months from now...I bet you'll thank yourself:)

Personally....I would make my goal an 8800GT if I were in your shoes. Here is an eVGA 8800GT superclock for $120 after rebate, I actually just set up SLI in a work friend's computer with a pair of these. Very nice card for the price

Alrighty, I have just bought the 9500, I just hope it will work well on my computer!

Thanks again scout!

? you were showing interest in my 8800GT for near the same price?
I know, my apologies, it been confusing for me, and ScOuT showed me that the 9500 was better than the 8800, this is why I hate shopping, cause I cant choose.

Chocolate or Vanilla...

No, scout showed you that the 9500gt is better than an 8600gt. The 8800gt totally kills the 8600/9500 gt's that have 32 shaders each, 8800gt/9800gt have 112 shaders each...

yeah the 8800GT totally demolishes the 9500gt. you may have actually just downgraded your GPU. it definitely wasnt an worthwhile upgrade.

Worst comes to worst, ill just send the card back to newegg and buy the 8800 from you. If worst comes to worst.

Edit: Awww Son of a B^$@%!!!! I just read 8800 instead of 8600!!! God Damn it! *Sigh* I feel like an Idiot. If I cancel the package from newegg now will it effect my credit card?

call them, ask what you can do. if your serious and honest newegg.com's customer service is the best of any website i've ever dealt with. seriously these guys bend over backwards in my experience.

well, i will say this though. tell them that you found out the card will not work in your PC. they are wonderful customer service people, but im not sure just how far they would go...

What's your budget and what games do you play?If you like playing the newer games and have a little more money maybe a HD 4850 would be better

edit* I think you can refuse the package and the will return to sender(may piss them off) or I have also heard of people returning to newegg due to "customer dissatisfaction" in the case of poeple getting the B3 q6600's when the q6600's GO steppings were out hoping they would get a Go the next time.

I am currently playing WoW: WotlK, TF2, CoD4 & CoD5, Assasins Creed, Fall Out 3, (Soon) Left 4 Dead, Half-Life 2, Far Cry 2, and Soon I am wanting to play Star Craft 2, Diablo 3 and I cant think of anythign else :P

A 8600GT and 9500GT will probably only meet minimum specs for some of those upcoming games you mentioned, namely SC2 and Diablo 3.

Pay a little more and get a MUCH better experience. The 8800/9800GT would be an excellent choice and can max most games out today at decent resolutions (except Crysis, of course). If you like ATI/AMD, go for the 4830 if you're on a tight budget. The 4850 would be better than any of these choices, but costs more.

Ya think this card will run these games with ease? that is what I am now worried about :(

take your card and add maybe 3 frames a second to games on average, but in tight spots where lag starts, expect 1-2 more frames. they are really close performing cards.
