Depends on what kind of gaming exprience you are looking to achieve. Both cards are excellent candidates for top gaming. However, if money is not the issue, then the 7800GTX would be logically a better choice.

Thanks for your advice Jan. Looks like I can fit the 7800GTX into my budget, so I will go with that card,
