Which card?

well they have the same number of pipes, but the X1600 has a higher core and memory clock. however the X800 has gotten better reviews and it is in stock right now whereas the X1600 is not, so if you need something like right now, go with the X800. i dobut you will be dissapointed with either of them though:)
 
get the x800gto. its in stock and its clock speeds are only slightly lower. and with taht upgraded cooler u can easily overclock it to the x1600xt speeds.
 
I've never used an X800 before, but my friend has an AMD Athlon 64 3200+ and an X800 and it overclocked nicely. He is running FEAR with no problems... however I have no clue which model it is.
 
the X800GTO is better, i remember looking at reviews in MaximumPC and the z1600's 3dmark scores are lower than the x800gto's were.

well the z and x are soo close he could have just missed..... and im sure we all kno wat he is talking about..

id go with the X800GTO. i heard you can OC it to equal the X850PE are something like that.
 
certain ones u can unlock, but that one is like $210 and i don't feel like having to go through the unlocking process. so i just go with one with a really good cooling system on it so i can just overclock it better.

and both the X800gto and X1600XT have about the same cooling by HIS, which i know is quiter and better then some other coolers like it.
