Which cheap SSD?

well in my opinion its going to be a low end ssd, if i was you i would hold out until you can get another $100 and put $200 towards say a 60gig drive

read/write speeds of 125MB/s and 70MB/s isnt fast for ssd's really, but you could always buy one then save up for another and go raid0.

Not really, they are an online only store and don't really have too much choice. They do have some nice speicals and deals usually.

If i can get it cheaper on ebay, i probably will because they take paypal (even though paypal are stuffing me around again)

Well to be fair I wouldn't buy any SSD less $200 atm. Intel X25-m and the Vertex Series are the only drives id buy for myself. Intel for reliability and Vertex 2 for speed. I personally am waiting for the 25nm Intel Drives as if rumors are true this will drop SSD prices and increase performance and its date is Q4/Q1.

the 60GB OCZ Agility 2 and 60GB OCZ Vertex 2 are pretty fast, read/write at 285MB/s-275MB/s. they run around $140-$160 USD.

Save up a bit more linkin and get a 60Gb Ocz or 80Gb intel,Like mentioned those speeds are very slow on that SSD and its only 32gb :/

60Gb is just a nice size imo, allows you to install windows,a few apps and i still have 30 odd gb left.

You can cut some of that dead weight by using vlite and editing a ISO of your LEGAL Windows 7 Disc and free up valuable space. I took my OS down to like 5GBs installed using this guide.

Just use the very bottom Update (13/09/10) files and it cuts so much crap out.

Even if you just do a simple vlite gut you can disable bunch of stuff and inject updates (most alterations = no automatic updates)
