Which clip to use on Zalman CNPS9700?

I was just thinking about this at work. When I put my 9700 on my q6600, I used the clip that required a screw to be held in place. Now im wondering, was I supposed to used the one that just clips onto the plastic bracket? And when its screwed down/clipped down, should I be able to move the cooler at all, or will it just be on their solid and not budge?

Ive been looking for my booklet about the installation but cant find it in my closet. I think one of my cats took it somewhere to play with.

Also, at stock 2.44ghz, my temp is 32-33C during idle, and a little over the 40s while under load. I feel like that is kinda high for no OC. My airflow isnt the best, but I took out three of my bay covers, and built a intake grid that fits right into their spots, and ill have a 140mm intake fan there soon. That will blow right over the cooler and majority of my board.

screwed down with the bracket. Holds the cpu cooler in place evenly. Also make sure not to over tighten it u can crack the motherboard. One turn at a time. Cpu cooler fan should be facing the hdd bays.

You used the right one. Also, temps look good to me. ;)

It is pointed towered the back, so the warm air flows right out of the exhaust fan, right?

Ok, sweet, just making sure.

And yes, I have it pointed right at my exhaust fan on the back of my case. I was thinking of building an enclosure from the front intake fan (Once I order it) covering the cooler, and leading to the rear fan. Create a more effect wind-tunnel effect.
