Which CPU would you get?

The Core 2 Duo is a better overclocker and its a better CPU, I'd get the 6750 unless those 30$ really meant a lot to you.

Here a decision was already made on staying with AMD seeing a 6000+ X2 on the new build here. Most are on and about for Core 2 Duos and Extreme models as well as the Q series quad core models by Intel. The make as well as model should be based on the type of build you are working on. For a strictly gaming build most are for Intel while those who want to multitask and build a work horse case seem to stay with AMD.

If you are plenning any ocing at all with the new cpu you might want to ask around CF for those who regularly pick and choose Intel models for that and which sees the best gaming. Some prefer the E6300 over others for ocing while others go for the E6600s. Here I generally go for the faster stock model and the apps used place the load on the cpu run.

The Intel processor is faster and it overclocks better

AMD held the record there on the older models seeing more work done in a clock cycle while Intel simply focused on clock speed. The Core 2 series was a new start for Intel there. But if AMD gets it together again... ??? :P
