Which Dremel for Case Modding

Just keep the blade straight, dont try to cut curves, the blades will snap, and wear eye protection, there will be lots of sparks and the risk of flying disks. Its very easy to use

Holes arent impossible with a dremel, but very hard, ive never tried one, i think rectangles wil be more benefitial anyway, they are bigger!

I could make pretty small squares and round them off with the sander.
Another thing. Does anyone know what those little rubber things are called that you put around the edges of the holes so the wires don't get cut up, and where to get them?

It really depends on what size hole you are trying to make. First thing first is that you want to go at it like you are sanding away the metal. Don't try to sink it in like a knife and push through it in one go. You'll just end up using more disks than you need to, not to mention putting more stress on the dremel. Take your time and "scrape" away a bit at a time.

If you are trying to make small holes, the best thing to do is save the smaller disks that are part worn from making another cut. Those can be a godsend when trying to make smaller intricate cuts.

If your patient you can do amazing things with a dremel. Here is a pic of a case mod in progress of a guy from a forum I visit. He has done some crazy work all with just a dremel. He has some advantage though as I believe he is a dentist and works with similar tools all day long. So a hole can be done quite easily if your patient and practice.

Okay. Well first of all I think I'll try a few cuts on another case first (old HP) to get the feel of it. Then I'm planning on doing the A900 cable managment mod. By then I hope I'll be a little better with the dremel, so I can plan on what I want to do next.
Thanks for all the info.
