im sorry, but the last post i did was of the wrong graphics cards :-(. please forgive me for reposting and i hope that this is not against the rules. I think getting a 7900GS wouldn't be the best value for money, I think the lowest you go down to is the 7900GT if not higher. The games that are been released are getting exponentially more graphically intense, so a 7900GS is not going to cut it in games like Crysis or even FEAR.

A GS is very close, performance wise, to a GT.
Plus I can play FEAR Combat at the highest levels with even my card, 1280 x 1024, So I don't think the Gs will be quite as hindered as you make it out to be.
