Which HDD should I buy?

I'm going to buy another HDD to play around with Vista Ultimate without destroying my current (pre-installed version) of Vista Home Basic on this PC.. since it won't run correctly on my other PC. I don't want to create another partition on the current HDD, it's already partitioned the way I want it for my current install.. so getting another HDD is my only option

I have it narrowed down to these two;

I'm leaning more towards the second one, 40GB more storage, costs less than the other if only by a few dollars... however, it's gotten some bad reviews.. so I'm unsure.

I would go for one with a 16mb cache... its like 10 dollars more but also a 250gig (I don't know if space is an issue for you) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822144701 what do you think? Great brand choice tho, I love my western digitals (I have like 6).

I appreciate the thought, but I'm on a very thin budget.. and I still have to buy a cable for it

Quite a few people said they arrive DOA, they break down after a few months or they won't format 100% for Windows.

Well your going to have a few faulty drives here and there... besides you know how many people buy those drive and don't review it?

you don't have cables that came with your mobo or anything like that? if you're on the tight budget get that 200gig drive... if you can spare an extra 15 bucks get the one I put a link to. I take it you think 200gig is going to be more than enough?

I currently have 160GB, so 200GB should be plenty.. I just want a drive to dual boot Vista Ultimate from.. I'd prefer an 80GB, but the price for an 80GB is so close to the 160GB and 200GB how can I pass the higher capacity up haha.

In any event, yes.. I believe 200GB should be plenty.. I may pick up that 250GB you linked to since I found a very good deal on 2x SATA2 UV Blue 18" cables + 1x Round IDE cable for $8 shipped.

EDIT: No, my board only came with a single SATA2 cable.. so I'm forced to buy one.. but I think I'm going to do the above and purchase 2x matching blue UV SATA2 cables.

I think spending the extra 15 bucks or whatever its gonna end up being will be worth it... kinda lame that your mobo didn't come with more extra cables I have like 8 I think... all that hot pink/redish color lol
