to poke fun at the topic name...

i have yet to hear a LOUD heatsink. I believe all available heatsinks are dead quite. the fan is what makes it loud...the heatsink alone is never loud. :)

-_- when you throw a heatsing out of the window. lets say.. 100 th floor.
im pretty shure when it hits the ground is produces a quite loud noise :P

ok got the silent tower todayand installed it

that thing is big

no doubt

anyway

problem fixed

now im at 40 idle cpu and 36 case

havent doen a load test yet cause i had to go to work
but itll be good too im sure

ill report back

yo, its sweet. I was worried my frikin motherboard was gonna snap in half though, lol. seriously. try getting a "silentcat", 90mm, if you have room, and mount it on the other side of the heatsink. What I did, lowered temp even more.

Next step is overclocking the absolute living crap out of your chip :)

oc time id say

last time i tired though i couldnt get hardly anything out of it

its a 478 prescott

3.0

i got it to like 3.2 and got crashes

but that was stock cooling so i guess ill try it again

i think my ram is holding me back

its corsair value 3200

It's the best one you can get, excluding water cooling. I'd say at least.
If Thermaltake had properly lapped sinks that might be true ... as things stand Tt's sinks can still benifit from a lapping. In light of that Thermalright and Arctic Cooling 'sinks will outperform Tt's easily :)

Lets stay the hell on topic people. ;)
