Im looking at 4 processors at the moment.

Intel core i7-2600K http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115070 / http://ark.intel.com/products/52214/Intel-Core-i7-2600K-Processor-8M-Cache-up-to-3_80-GHz?q=2600k

Intel Core i7-3770K http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...16501&ef_id=UoJR2gAABbJtnghd:20131118194017:s / http://ark.intel.com/products/65523/Intel-Core-i7-3770K-Processor-8M-Cache-up-to-3_90-GHz?q=3770k

Intel core i7 - 4770K http://www.newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16819116901 / http://ark.intel.com/products/75123/Intel-Core-i7-4770K-Processor-8M-Cache-up-to-3_90-GHz?q=4770k

Intel Core i7 - 4771 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...16941&ef_id=UoJR2gAABbJtnghd:20131118195140:s / http://ark.intel.com/products/77656... i7-4771 Processor (8M Cache, up to 3.90 GHz)

I've ordered them in the order I believe to be weakest to strongest, if so I'll of course get the Intel Core i7-4771.

However I have no clue if the order is correct, and my fund limit is 300-350USD.

I want the most powerful and newest i7 I can buy for that price range.

I also may have left a processor out, so if you know of a better processor then the ones I have listed that fits my budget please let me know.

I just want the strongest processor for the money.

Also I plan to do no overclocking.

Are there any Intel i7s that I'm missing in my list that cost 300-350 USD?

The second two are both Haswell's, the newest generation.

By strongest CPU for the money do you mean best bang for the buck? If so, it will most likely be an i5 instead of i7.

so which of the haswell's for the i7 would you say is the most powerful, and just out of curiosity which of the i5s would you say to be the most powerful?

i've also noticed some of the I5s have an Intel® Iris™ Pro graphics 5200 while the cheaper I7s have the intel HD graphics 4600

However I don't see any of the I5s for sale with the iris 5200 graphics so right now im still looking at either the i7 4770K or the i7 4771

From what I hear the 4770K can be overclocked but the 4771 has like two extra features?

Best will be the 4820k out of them. . but id say really get a decent cooler and go for it and literally just up the turbo boost if you don't want to mess around with voltages. cpus are pretty much indestructible as long as the temps and voltages are within the safe limits.

with a decent cooler at say up your turbo to 4.5ghz, it will run say 10c hotter than with the stock cooler on max load. my brothers 6 core 3930x runs stock higher idle temps than my 4.5ghz cpu. and mine runs around 10c hotter than his on prime 95 with every core on 100% at around 60-65c. thats because the stock cooler is not the best.

but its up to you about overclocking.

with all 2011 sockets, you need to buy a cooler anyway. just be aware your dealing with a 130W TDP vs the lower wattages of the 1150 sockets.

'Right choice' is relevant.

The right choice for somebody who requires an absolute powerhouse is an i7 4960X. The right choice for somebody who wants a CPU which is good value and affordable is clearly not an i7 4960X.

And you'd be daft to build a new system with Ivy Bridge now. Ivy came out almost 2 years ago. Haswell is the newest.
