That MSI motherboard would be a solid choice. I play Forza Horizon 3 with a 4790K and a GTX 1080 (used to run it on a 980). I have everything maxed out and it runs buttery on my 1440P display. It's a fun little game. Online is brutal. Some people really know how to race...
While it ran ok at 1440P, I was running it at 1080P on my 980 for optimal perf with a few settings turned down. On the 1080 I can max it out though.
