First and foremost, what can you afford to spend? Also, do you plan on using your same hardware components, i.e., video card, etc? Are you into overclocking? There are a number of good to great motherboards out there for gaming, but a lot more information is needed concerning your PC specs.
well i'm bulding a new pc so everything is new. My budget, well around 2.5k canadian. i could do 3k but dont want to spend so much on a pc, unless i really have to. Between 2.5k-3k for the whole pc, for the mobo only around 200-400 i guess. Regarding overcloacking, i wont probebly do it beucase i have never tried ti before and i dont want to screw up anything and just throw it out after. So for now no OC. I want to be able to play alll the new games and the games that will come out in the future with the highest setting on everything.
Now that seems like a great budget, but I really have no clue how Canadian and American monetary systems compare so I am not sure what 2.5k translates into American $. Nevertheless, I can tell you that many swear by ASUS motherboards for stability, especially since you are not into overclocking. MSI seems to be another popular one for stability. Since you want a major gaming rig you will be spending significant cash!
