Which is better, the Droid X or the iPhone 4???

The battery is good and there is starting to be a few games coming available in the app market place that requires the nvidia tegra chip that the atrix it has.

I have to say the iPhone 4 is better, despite the "issues" it is the best phone I've ever had. All Android phones aren't very efficient and their OS isn't very polished, it's more like a publicly released beta. Apple may be a little anal retentive but they are the best.The iPhone 4 has the best music player, apps, and an amazing camera that shoots full 720p video. iPhone 4 is the best.

All I hear is "Troll trolltroll troll trooooll troll troll", considering all your points are complete crap. Sounds like you've never used an Android device.

I would pick Droid over an Apple product any day... Can't stand Apple! Got a Droid phone right now I couldn't be any happier with it! :D

Wait a second, can anyone name one occasion where it matters what hardware a phone has? All of the apps are still going to be compatible with it, so why does it matter? An iPhone could have a 100Ghz processor or a 1Ghz processor and it isn't going to matter with any app really, unless you wanted to multi-task every single app in the app store :/

It's all personal preference, if you want iOS, get iphone, if you want Android, get an Android phone, if you want the HTC OS, (Whatever it's called) Get an HTC phone, they're all good, it's all just which you prefer, I personally plan on having several phones and just switching the SIM when I want to use a different one.

Benchmarks!!!!

Ok, I can't hold a straight face. The best reasons to have a beefy processor are online flash videos, and n64 emulation. Otherwise, your not going to notice a huge difference. The exception being armv6 processors (ie: lower end phones). There are some key differences which make them inferior.

I did learn something very interesting the other day though;
The single core snapdragon cpu coupled with the andreno 205 gpu actually outperforms dual core tegra chips, and it also does so more efficiently. Made me feel good about my XPlay as it's got the latest drivers from qualcomm, making this performance possible. It also has dual channel ddr2 ram, a first for cell phones :D

Before I ventured into the smart mobile phone market, I bought myself an ipod touch to get an idea what it was all about (bar the call function of course). Very handy as a "PDA" and I learnt all about what wifi could do at home, what apps were and so on. But as others have eluded to, itunes has basically turned the iphone into the ibrick. There was no way I was going to buy one. They are so constrictive and propriety, and if you have more than one "iproduct" in the house, forget about it. It's very hard to manage my old ipod touch, and my son's new one he wanted last xmas on the same account.
I bought myself a HTC legend. Very basic as smart phones go, but so easy to use even for a Luddite. It's just another folder on my computer that I can drag music/files etc onto whenever I want. And it handles all the apps I need with ease.
I guess mobiles like the Treos were the start of true smart phones, and Apple was the start of touchscreens. But like the Apple IIe...they've had their day.
Do yourself a favour, don't become an isheep!
